How can we help you get moving today?

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How does WalkScroll track my steps?

On iOS, WalkScroll securely tracks your active steps using your device's Motion & Fitness sensors. On Android, it connects via Google Health Connect. We do not track your real-time location or share your health data with anyone.

Why does the app ask for Screen Time / Family Controls permissions?

WalkScroll uses Apple's native Screen Time API (Family Controls) on iOS and Usage/Overlay permissions on Android to restrict access to your selected apps. This allows the app to block social media and games until you finish your step goals, without inspecting your private app usage content.

What is the "Time Bank"?

The Time Bank allows you to bank steps that you've walked beyond your goal and save them. You can later exchange these banked steps to unlock restricted apps for a short period when you need to use them without doing extra walking.

What should I do if my steps aren't updating?

On Android, first open your Health Connect app to check if your latest steps have loaded there. On iOS, steps are tracked in real-time. If steps are still missing, verify that WalkScroll has been granted the necessary permissions (Motion & Fitness for iOS, Health Connect for Android) in your device settings.
